The energy required to power the 91 million streetlights in Europe represents an energy bill of over EUR 10 billion and results in over 40 million tons of CO2 emissions (the equivalent of 20 million cars) per year. This is to an extent a large waste of resources, in particular when lighting the empty streets when no one is around.

Tracking a stage performer with moving lights using one camera and one computer is a project that we have done in 2012. This project have demostrated that camera video camera can be used as a measuring/reference device. But how to include 3D stage and what about large stages and theatres? and, why cant we use wide angle lens camera to cover larger area?

Why 3D imagining? What’s wrong with 2D imagining?
Using video cameras does not impose range restriction in vision system compared to ToF and structured light aproaches. It also does not require any additional hardware. Single camera used for 3D vision or, compared to sterevision, usage of any number of cameras is our technology advantage.
